Time To Renovate

So it's been a long time citizens... too long. It is now time for me to take the blog in a new direction. Something I'm calling "I'm is going to write whatever I want and you can read it if you want because while I do appreciate your interest, I've gotta be me." Also known as "Project X5." Instead of a-z playlists, I'm just going to start putting songs up whenever I find them. They are going to be songs that I think everyone should listen to - maybe a theme, maybe not. Regardless - you need to listen. Also there are going to be many more "Stream of Consciousness" essays, lyrics and movie ideas, and just overall updates of my life. "So here it is brotha, here it is!"

Here are some songs to start off the new era of "breakfast, lunch -n- dinner" (which some people refer to as "blender" apparently).

Sleeper 1972 - Manchester Orchestra -I'm Like A Virgin Losing A Child - Pop/Folk
This song is ridiculously good. The lyrics are powerful, the melody subtle yet powerful, and the aura heart-wrenching. I had arrived at Stephanie's house and this song was playing as I pulled up. It was only half way over so I just sat there listening with the volume up above 35 (which is loud with the windows up) with emotions just flooding through my mind. It's powerful - just listen and feel.

I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time - Mariah Carey - E=MC2 - R&B
Whatever - this song is good. The lyrics are typical and sexual but the beat and Mariah's voice are awesome. I don't care - I like it. I'm even dancing to it right now as I write this. ::Hums melody in his head:: There is also a DESIGNER DRUGS REMIX and a "remix" featuring T.I. Both are alright but I like the original.

You Don't Know Me [ft. Regina Spektor] - Ben Folds - Way To Normal - Pop
NEW TUNES! (Download it here)
So I'm a pretty big Ben Folds fan, specifically when he had the Five but it's all been good... until now. This is a new song (said to be the catchiest) off his new album and personally, compared to "Songs For Silverman" or "The Unauthorized Biography Of Reinhold Messner," this isn't anything special. BUT - this is an open forum, an open world, form your own opinion and let me know.

So that's all for right now. I have more songs lined up so make sure you check back in a few days for an update on life, musik, films and life... wait a second.
