Lady Kong Puts A Spell On Common, Animated Santas LIVE
Street Fighter, IRL.
So I have a Tumblr now and it has taken over my life. I think I may reserve this blog for lists, series, or themed posts and use Tumblr on a daily basis. Just a thought.
Also, my friend and I are starting a musik Tumblr which will feature tunes every day. So I'll post that link whenever we get it rolling.
What if I linked them together... hmm.... I wonder if you can do that.
So I did an experiment. I took a week of from blogging/reading blogs and spent all that time on guitar and my turntables as a little detox. The week is up. It's time to post.

MUSIK Relating love games to chess with a super pop/electronic sound. I dig. Chess - Alphabeat
#5. Bobby's World holds a special place in my heart. I can't remember a single episode but I remember this intro and I remember loving this show.
Besides, Howie Mandel created it
#4. The Animaniacs were out of control. I don't know if we ever found out exactly what they were - besides comedic geniuses. Also, since it's holiday season, I have a hankering to watch their Christmas special with my brother.
#3. Doug. Freaking Doug. This show was amazing when run by both Disney and Nickelodeon. It taught me how to ask my parents for more allowance, how to deal with crazy inventors, and how to win women with names of condiments. Thank you Doug.
#2. Hey! Arnold taught me lots of morals and how to be patient. It really did have an impact on my life.
#1. I love The Simpsons. I know it technically started in 1989 but it ran all through the 90s and captured the entire sense of humor of the decade.

Today in my U101 class, an Aretha Franklin song came on the movie we were watching. Our professor asked who it was. I knew it was Aretha - nobody else even had an idea. I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You) - Aretha Franklin I will marry the girl that puts this on a mixtape for me.
~~~~~ !REMIXNATION! I know I posted this a couple of days ago, I just want to make sure everyone got it. I Want You Back (Z-Trip Remix) - Jackson 5 This is the best cover, remix, rendition I have ever heard of any Michael Jackson song.
So why are Kyle Jackson and I friends (besides the obvious)? This is why. Let me replay our text conversation from last night:
Me - "Just an average day in lufe but you're willing to spend a little money because your boss gave you the thumbs up at work for turning your report in on time right after the girl you've been facebook stalking wrote on your wall unexpectedly? Celebrate with a bloomin' onion! Let's go outback tonight." Kyle - "I got 99 problems but a damsel with loose morals is not one." Me - "Already read that on tumblr. I win" Kyle - "They got it from me obvi." Me - "Oooooh. Touche' sir. Touche'. Silly of me to think a woman could be funny on her own." Kyle - "What can women do on their own anyway?" Me - "Wanna hear a joke?" Kyle - "Women's rights." Me - "Sir. You read my mind. Continue to impress me and someone will receive a special high five."
Amazing.
Thanks for these guys for letting us jack their MP3s. jonkmusic
A fresh sound. I can't say I've heard anything like this in a while. A girl singer with a semi-grunge more pop than rock sound. I like it. Animal - Iko
I really just can't get over how creative and groovy these videos are.
Make sure you play these this weekend:
I don't know if you guys know about Ronald Jenkees but he is so hot right now. He's got a new album out called "DIsorganized Fun" and it, along with his other musikal successes put him in rivalry with edIT. Throwing Fire - Ronald Jenkees
Classified as "fuzz rock" by some, I just call it modern grunge meets the washing machine meets lounge. Whatever you fancy, really. Candy Girl (Demo) - Trailer Trash Tracys
Starting college off right, I went to a CRAZY party which consisted of pizza, chips AND A CAKE! A WHOLE. FREAKING. CAKE. Also, there were lots of sodas.
During the night, a long lost song came on the mix. Swing, Swing - The All-American Rejects I hadn't heard this song in a long time and as soon as it came on, half of the kids in the room started mouthing the words. I realized two things: 1. I miss this song. 2. My friends are nerds.
It wasn't a birthday party, I just thought this kid was great.
A while ago, I lost all my musik due to a hard drive failure. Starting from scratch I am 60% back to having all my musik back! The 10,000 song I received was this unheard goldie: Wondergirl - Peplab
Not to sure how I feel about new Spoon. Frankly, I'm still hooked on Gimme FIction. Got Nuffin - Spoon
My brother once told me that everyone looks cooler in slow-mo. I told him that everyone looks cooler than him. He beat me up. Here's a video about surfing.
Here is another sweet surfing video from acclaimed director Jonathan Glazer
He even failed Surfing 101
This band Discovery is the keyboardist from pop/rock sensation Vampire Weekend and not so sensational Ra Ra Riot. I'm not sure how I feel about these guys because their musik is really odd but here is a little taste for your enjoyment. I Want You Back (Jackson 5 Cover) - Discovery
